After graduating from the California Culinary Academy in 2003, Chef Tedd worked at some of the best restaurants in Northern California. From Town Hall Restaurant in San Francisco to Julia’s Kitchen in Napa under James Beard award winning Pastry Chef Nicole Plue to Sonoma’s Fairmont Mission Inn and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in San Francisco. Most recently he was part of the opening team at the exclusive Bardessono Hotel and Spa in Yountville, Ca. as the Executive Pastry Chef.
In 2016 Chef Tedd decided to pursue his passion for barbeque and started studying the craft of smoked meats. Taking the time to go to Texas and spend a weeks visiting different barbeque institutions and taking a class at Stiles Switch BBQ in Austin, TX. He followed that up with trips to St Louis Mo. and Kansas City Ks/Mo. Tedd also spent time working locally with Pit master Rob Zavatero at Beaver Creek Smokehouse in Martinez Ca.
Sticky Business is a pursuit of passion based on over 15 years of culinary expertise in baking and pastry and now savory cooking. This adds a unique perspective and ability to fine tune the flavor of Sticky Business Barbeque.
