Anderson East Satisfies Our Earbuds

Anderson East is celebrating a breakthrough year which saw the release of his critically acclaimed album, Encore, featuring the driving and gritty tune “All On My Mind,” plus hits “King For A Day” and “Girlfriend.”

A versatile singer-songwriter, East effortlessly blends elements of rock, blues, country, R&B, and soul in his music, crossing genres easily as he collaborates with artists like Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Avicii, and Ed Sheeran.

“I don’t think I am a soul singer and definitely don’t think that I am a country artist by any stretch. I don’t think there is a clear-cut avenue for what I do, and I am OK with that. I am just a lover of music.” - via Billboard

Born Michael Cameron Anderson, East got his start early, writing his first song "Brains" that he performed during his 7th grade talent show. He taught himself piano and started writing more music in high school. At age 21, he jumped head first into the industry and released an album titled “Closing Credits for a Fire” (under the name Mike Anderson).

His major-label record debut, Delilah, was released in July 2015 and featured the hit "Satisfy Me" which feels a little throwback and perfectly highlights his classic raspy voice. You’ll want to put this song on repeat, and then dance shamelessly around the house. It’s that good.

“…an often lustrous revisiting of raucous Southern soul, rousingly delivered and pinpoint precise. He has a voice full of extremely careful scrape and crunch, but his howls never feel unhinged.”— via The New York Times

In 2017, East contributed to the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack with the sultry track “What Would It Take” another song that makes you want to move -- this time, eyes closed as you snuggle up to your special someone and dance like you were not supposed to in high school.

The release of the album, “Encore” brought nominations for Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2018 Americana Music Honors & Awards and a Grammy Award nomination for the Best American Roots Performance.

East is on the road in support of his "Encore World Tour" and we are thrilled he’ll be at Yountville Live 2019, performing for our VIP guests at our Red Carpet Gala. Get his album, and your tickets to see him live, and get ready to have yourself a great time. We hope to see you dancing shamelessly alongside us.
