Master Chocolatier Chris Kollar Returns For 5th Year at Yountville Live

Chef Chris Kollar is an Artisan Chocolatier working to promote a modern and gourmet food experience in the Napa Valley. Step inside of Kollar Chocolates and you can watch the master at work, shaping exquisite handmade chocolate right before your eyes.

Kollar creates chocolates that look as beautiful as they taste, and they come in a variety of styles from geometric, to marble, to truffled. Each one is as delectable as the next. With flavors ranging from classic milk chocolate to red wine, lavender, and even espelette chili, there is something for everyone inside his quaint shop in the valley.

Wanting to make a sustainable impact in the food industry, Kollar’s chocolate shop provides consumers with recyclable packaging and local ingredients. Whether you are five or fifty-five, the store is sure to be appetizing, eye-catching, and pleasurable.

Prior to establishing himself as a chocolatier, Kollar spent 19 years working in the kitchens of restaurants across the United States and in the Cayman Islands, including multiple Napa Valley restaurants and wineries such as Domaine Chandon, Tra Vigne, Pinot Blanc, Go Fish, and Peter Michael.

A self-taught chocolatier and a trained savory chef, Kollar draws great inspiration from the classic European chocolate making style. His travels across Switzerland, France, and Italy helped refined his own practice, stimulating his creativity in the delectable bites he now creates.

Chocolate making has taught Kollar the importance of patience. Used to the hustle and bustle of five-star restaurants, where you need to get dishes to guests as quickly as possible, Kollar’s newest passion has taught him to slow down.

Kollar’s passion for sweets and delicacies doesn’t just start and end with chocolate. Alongside rich chocolates, Kollar also offers Gelato and Espresso at his shop in Yountville. Make sure you stop by when in town, you will not be disappointed.

Kollar has participated in Yountville Live every year since our inaugural kick off in 2015, and his treats are always a big hit with our guests (look at this beautiful chocolate inspired bento box he did one year!
